reinvent yourself

Why Women Grow Faster Together

Have you ever stopped to think that the most interesting book you’ll ever read is your own life?

Lately, I’ve been thinking about that a lot.
Not because I have everything figured out.
Actually, quite the opposite.

Like many women, I’ve realized that life doesn’t always unfold the way we imagined it would.

Sometimes we spend years carefully writing one chapter, only to discover that life is quietly inviting us into another.

For me, that chapter was MOTHERHOOD

career transition after motherhood

The Career I Never Planned to Leave

For over ten years, I built a career I genuinely loved.

I worked in commercial interior design, managing projects, collaborating with incredible teams, solving complex problems, and helping create spaces where people could learn, work, and connect.

It challenged me.
It fulfilled me.
It became part of my identity.

If you had asked me years ago if I would ever step away from that career, I probably would have laughed.

I worked too hard to get there.

I was proud of everything I had built.
And I still am.

Leaving wasn’t about running away from something.

It was about feeling pulled toward something different.

Then Motherhood Changed the Questions I Was Asking

People often say that motherhood changes you.

I don’t think I fully understood what that meant until I experienced it myself.
It wasn’t just about becoming responsible for another human being.

It was about becoming responsible for the life I wanted to create.
I began asking questions I’d never asked before.

What does success look like now?
How do I want to spend my time?
Can ambition and flexibility exist together?
Is there another way to build a meaningful career?
What kind of example do I want my children to see?
Those questions didn’t have immediate answers.

And honestly…
Some days they still don’t.

The Identity Shift No One Really Talks About

One of the biggest surprises wasn’t changing careers.

It was changing identities.

For years, introducing myself was easy.
“I’m an interior designer.”
Simple.
Clear.
Comfortable.
Then suddenly I became…
Mom.
Content creator.
Community builder.
Entrepreneur.
Event host.
Speaker.
Learner.

Some days I felt like all of those.

Some days I didn’t know which one fit anymore.

And I started realizing something.
Maybe we put too much pressure on ourselves to have a perfect title.
Maybe we’re allowed to be evolving.
Maybe we’re allowed to be becoming.

Reinvention Doesn't Mean Starting Over

I think one of the biggest misconceptions about personal growth is believing that reinventing yourself means abandoning who you used to be.

It doesn’t.

I haven’t stopped being a designer.

That decade shaped me.
It taught me leadership.
Communication.
Creativity.
Problem solving.
Project management.
Empathy.

Those skills didn’t disappear.

They simply found new places to grow.

Every chapter of your life prepares you for the next one.
Nothing is wasted.
Not the years.
Not the experience.
Not even the uncertainty.

The Wellness We Don't Talk About Enough

When people hear the word wellness, they often think about exercise.
Nutrition.
Skincare.
Sleep.

And yes…
Those things matter.

But I’ve come to believe there’s another kind of wellness that deserves just as much attention.

The wellness that comes from living a life that feels aligned.
The wellness that comes from meaningful conversations.

From friendships.
From purpose.
From having hope about what’s ahead.

Because sometimes what we’re feeling isn’t burnout.

Sometimes it’s misalignment.

Sometimes our lives have changed, but our expectations haven’t caught up yet.

The Truth About Life Transitions

Whether you’re navigating motherhood…
Changing careers…
Moving to a new city…
Starting a business…
Watching your children grow older…
Or simply feeling like something inside you is shifting…

Life transitions can be incredibly lonely.

Not because people don’t love us.
But because it’s hard to explain a feeling that even we don’t fully understand.

You can be grateful and uncertain.

Excited and scared.
Confident and overwhelmed.
At the same time.
That’s part of being human.

You Don't Have to Have It All Figured Out

For a long time, I thought successful people always knew exactly where they were going.

Now I think they simply became comfortable taking the next step before seeing the entire staircase.

Life rarely gives us a complete roadmap.
More often, it invites us to trust ourselves enough to turn the page.

That’s uncomfortable.

Especially for women who have always been planners.
High achievers.
Problem solvers.
We like certainty.

But growth often asks us to move before certainty arrives.

Personal Growth Isn't About Becoming Someone Else

One of my favorite realizations over the past few years is this:
Personal growth isn’t about fixing yourself.

It’s about discovering more of who you’ve been becoming all along.

You don’t need to become someone completely different.

You don’t have to erase your past.
Or pretend previous chapters didn’t matter.
You simply get permission to evolve.
To learn.
To pivot.
To dream differently than you did five years ago.

That’s not failure.
That’s growth.

Sometimes We Don't Need Advice

I’ve also learned something else.

Sometimes we don’t need another podcast.
Another book.
Another checklist.
Another productivity hack.
Sometimes…

We just need someone to listen.
Someone who doesn’t immediately try to solve the problem.
Someone who creates space for us to think out loud.
Someone who reminds us that uncertainty isn’t weakness.

It’s often where transformation begins.

I’ve had conversations that completely changed the direction of my life.

Not because someone gave me the perfect answer.

But because they asked the right question.
“What do you really want?”
Sometimes one conversation changes everything.

So... What Chapter Are You In?

Maybe you’re building a business.
Maybe you’re returning to work after having children.
Maybe you’re questioning the career you’ve always imagined.
Maybe you’re discovering new passions.
Maybe you’re trying to prioritize your wellness again.
Maybe you’re simply looking for people who understand this season of life.
Whatever chapter you’re in…
You don’t have to rush through it.
Every chapter has something to teach us.
Even the uncertain ones.
Especially the uncertain ones.

Life Has Chapters

One thing I’ve learned is that life isn’t about arriving.
It’s about evolving.
The woman I was ten years ago isn’t gone.
She’s simply grown into someone new.
And I have a feeling she’s not finished yet.
Neither am I.
Neither are you.
Because life has chapters.
Some are planned.
Some arrive unexpectedly.
But no matter what chapter you’re in today…
You still get to write the next one.

Let's Start With a Conversation

If you’re navigating a career transition after motherhood, exploring a new opportunity, building something meaningful, or simply trying to figure out what your next chapter looks like, I’d love to connect.
No pressure.
No perfect plan required.
Just a conversation.
Sometimes clarity doesn’t come from having all the answers.
Sometimes it begins by saying them out loud.
